In Your Dreams - The Aldaya Series
So a not-so-commonly-known fact about me is that I am actually already a published illustrator. I had the kind fortune of landing a commission with a self-publicist that works based out of Serbia. The author's name however is John Swan and he has woven an intricate tapestry of fantasy which is a world built entirely from his imagination. I have the pleasure of working with him to develop all the chapter sketches for his book series that is currently still in the generation phase. Book I has been published as an e-book on Amazon.com... here is the link.

I will soon be working on Book II, but while creating the sketches for Book I, I was given the opportunity to help develop his world by giving it a voice. I created the banner/logo for the series as well as I rendered the world map with John's vision. I enjoyed bringing his ideas to fruition with my own imagination because he gave me some autonomy to think a little "outside the box." If you enjoy my work, please take the time to get the books, because I endorse John's writing talent as well. Anyway, without further adieu here is the initial illustrated rendering of the full world map for Aldaya.
I used 4 18" X 24" sheets of paper to illustrate the full map. With the scanned copies, I used Photoshop to compile the final rendering. There were some more design choices I incorporated into the final piece, but all in all, it was an extremely fulfilling project to endure and complete.
