In Your Dreams - The Aldaya Series

So a not-so-commonly-known fact about me is that I am actually already a published illustrator.  I had the kind fortune of landing a commission with a self-publicist that works based out of Serbia.  The author's name however is John Swan and he has woven an intricate tapestry of fantasy which is a world built entirely from his imagination.  I have the pleasure of working with him to develop all the chapter sketches for his book series that is currently still in the generation phase.  Book I has been published as an e-book on Amazon.com... here is the link. http://www.amazon.com/Your-Dreams-Aldaya-Series-Book-ebook/dp/B00NI96DC4 I will soon be working on Book II, but while creating the sketches for Book I, I was given the opportunity to help develop his world by giving it a voice.  I created the banner/logo for the series as well as I rendered the world map with John's vision.  I enjoyed bringing his ideas to fruition with my own imagination because he gave me some autonomy

Another Tribute to MC Escher

It has been very eventful now that I have finally been out of the navy for well over a year and I am officially nearing the completion of my first year enrolled at the Art Institute of Seattle.  Although this is not a requirement for Industrial Design students, I am going to embrace this tasking with all the passion and verve that I normally put forth in my work.  I figured for my first post, I would actually post something a little different to inspire the minds of all my fellow classmates. My favorite artist throughout history is M.C. Escher.  I enjoy detailed illustration, photorealism and surrealism, therefore Escher is just my cup of tea.  Anyway, I would like to show you a clay model design that I rendered for my second project in Clay Model Making that was very Escher inspired.
